Along the way, I will draw comparisons between WILDNESS and Tsai Ming-Liang’s 2003 film Goodbye, Dragon Inn, as well as another of Tsang's films, Duilian, from 2016. My paper presents a reading of WILDNESS that focuses on the film’s treatment of “site” as metaphor. ![]() The 76-minute documentary is as much about the specific site of the Silver Platter bar as much as it is a metaphorical elegy to underground spaces generally speaking.
